VERTEBRATE RESEARCH PROJECTS IN PEDERSENS LAB
OPPORTUNITIES EXIST
for Undergraduate and Graduate-level Laboratory Research
Projects concerning some aspect of vertebrate morphology/anatomy.
Highly motivated students are welcome to apply for course-credit
at SDSU. Depending on the amount of time spent in the laboratory
(and project content), up to 6-hours of course-credit can be earned
towards your degree.
OPPORTUNITIES
EXIST for Undergraduate and Graduate-level Field
Research Projects. Projects should concern some aspect
of non-game mammalian biology in South Dakota, but all projects
concerning vertebrates, ecology, and/or morphology will be entertained.

SUMMER
RESEARCH - This is not a formal field course. However,
highly-motivated students who wish to (1) learn more vertebrate
biology, (2) get involved in an active research program, and (3)
learn number of field-census techniques, and are welcome to apply
for course-credit at SDSU. Up to 6-hours of SDSU course-credit
can be earned towards your degree. Students are expected to contribute
significantly to the research and help summarize the data. Students
are expected to submit their data for presentation at a scientific
meeting which will result in a published Abstract of their work.
